It’s been a year…
He counts to 20,
knows most of the alphabet,
…and will kill anyone who threatens his Thomas the Tank Engine…
After hibernation and digging ourselves out of winter, we finally put together a new Jack montage.
He is getting more and more expressive and ‘articulate’ with his ‘Mama’ and ‘Dada’ and is growing a very big personality… expecially when he wants something he should have!
He also started to wear his glasses in January as a means to assist with some fairly long sightedness… he’s dealing with them fairly well, but has to be stimulated by something up close when he has them on, otherwise he tends to whip them off…
His diet has begun to take off – smooshy sweet potatoes, squash and various fruits being the favourite – mommy milk aside - but broccoli fish and meats are entering into the fray.
And there’s a tooth… taking it’s time to break through… but it’s there…
Family is doing well and looking forward to the big move in May where Jack will have an entire lawn to discover – and to get some outside colour…
This is he:
I know, I know… more family shots required…
So it’s been a fairly uneventful couple of months for the we’en… other than his frequent trips to the movies and all that good stuff… he saw his first snow (and a LOT of it) recently and seems relatively unphased by the cold… which is great because, well, it’s cold…
Developmental things that HAVE happened:
He’s a happy happy wee man too.
Here’s proof:
We had a fairly quiet October – and kept our trips fairly local.
The wee man is sleeping through the night and is a healthy, chatty guy. He is very aware of his surroundings and VERY social…
Pics always speak more than words… don’t you think the little boy is coming out in him?
Hi, Jack fans!
September meant a road trip to Ontario to visit his Grandad and the rest of the Mooneys!
He was such a superstar in the car, sleeping most of the way and chatting the rest!
While there he started to sleep through the night – so when we returned he moved into his own room and has (for the most part) continued to do so! 16lbs means he can go 7-8 hours between feeding! Lucky mom and dad!!
He has become so aware, smiley and has begun to chuckle at dad’s goofiness! Also – he loves hockey – something about the movement, sounds and colours! And genetics!
We are now applying for baby passport so that Jack can visit so many more people and spread the love.
The US beckons next?
Pictures are all that really matter so…
Jack was spoiled with a 10 day visit to the country to spend time with his Gran, Grandad, Uncle Mike, Auntie Karen, Auntie Julia, Uncle Andrew, Mia and Chloe…
Not only that, but the fine MacCallum tribe paid a visit as well as Great Grannie Florence and auntie Willa and Auntie Kathy…
The week in the country with everyone was great for him as he seems to have become more and more aware and alert and gaining more personality with each day…
This is his story…
Jack took the BIGGEST ROAD TRIP OF HIS LIFE to Knowlton to visit his Grand and Grandad.
Bonus: Auntie Julia and Uncle Andrew visited with cousin Chloe too!
The rest, as they say, is history!
Only 2 weeks until Uncle Mike, Auntie Karen and cousin Mia touch down!!
